Portal Series
What is Portal?
Portal is a game series where you have to do experiments using a portal gun. There are multiple testing chambers, each containing puzzles you need to solve.
Portal
The original Portal game follows the player who is being forced by GLaDOS, an AI that controls the Aperture Science facility, to do experiments. The game was praised for its originality and sense of humor, especially coming from GLaDOS. The game is playable on PC, Mac, Linux, Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

The portals and the physics system allows the level design to be very unique compared to other puzzle games. For example, when players are attacked by a turret, they can use their portal to either drop a cube on top of it or just simply teleport pass it. Another interesting mechanic is that kinetic force can be transferred through portals. Meaning that if players jump inside a portal from a high place, the force retains and they are launched out of the other portal at a high speed.
Portal 2
Portal 2 is the sequel to the original game. It features the main character exploring the ruins of the Aperture Science facility. GLaDOS returns as the antagonist, and a new robot named Wheatley is introduced. The game was praised for being a worthy sequel to the original. The game is playable on PC, Mac, Linux, Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

The game made great improvements in terms of visual, level design, and gameplay mechanics. Visually, the environment is much better looking than in the original, the lighting was improved and the facility being in ruins makes look more interesting than just generic white walls and floors everywhere. The new gameplay mechanics introduced in this game are good additions and add new fun elements to the puzzles. A new cube is introduced that can reflect laser beams, a light beam was introduced that you can use to make bridges, and gels were introduced that allow you to do things like bounce on surfaces or run faster.
